Rotheram looked a horse to follow when successful at Wolverhampton in March but disappointed at Catterick subsequently and this should lie between Numitas and Morson Boy, with preference for the latter. Sir Mark Prescott's Numitas steps up in trip, having never previously raced over further than a mile and should improve for it. He has to be respected, especially with the Prescott stable hitting form now. However, Morson Boy has a progressive profile and followed an easy win at Pontefract in April with an emphatic success over this trip at Doncaster last month. A 10lb rise since then looks fair and Mark Johnston's colt is taken to complete the hat-trick. Wavertree Boy scrambled home at Goodwood last time and has more to do here, while Ten Carat looks to face a stiff task on his handicap debut.
