Successful in her last three starts, it is difficult to oppose Pongee, who has most to fear from Fast Foil and Bahrqueen. A two-length winner over Weecandoo (a winner at Sandown on Friday) two starts ago off a mark of 70, Luca Cumani's filly followed up in an apprentice's classified stakes race at Nottingham earlier this month. Only 5lbs higher here than at Sandown, Pongee has to be the selection to complete a four-timer. Mick Channon's Fast Foil is a consistent performer and should run her usual race but is again likely to find at least one too good. The maiden Bahrqueen has shown improved form and rates the main danger to the selection but the four-year-old has been found wanting in the finish and may once more have to settle for minor honours. The Philip Hobbs-trained Cool Spice would be interesting if fit for her seasonal reappearance but the selection has obvious claims.
