Verdict

Captain Cat won last year's renewal but has struggled since a good effort in the Winter Derby back in March. Tullius won this back in 2012 and has looked as good as ever having won a Group 2 over 1m2f at York last month when CUSTOM CUT (NAP) appeared not to stay. But David O'Meara's charge had beaten Tullius when runner-up in the Diomed over a mile at Epsom earlier and can return to winning ways in this. Shifting Power pulled up lame at Epsom and had finished behind the selection at Sandown back in April while Moohaarib was raised 13lb for winning a Listed event at Ascot in the same month and was subsequently outclassed in the Lockinge. Kodi Bear also struggled in a Group 1 in France last time but the dual Listed winner may prove best of the three-year-olds in this.
