FITZROVIA (NAP) escapes a penalty for his win in an apprentices’ race at Bath and was successful off a higher mark over this course and distance last year. The six-year-old has a very respectable strike-rate on Turf and can go in again. Black Medick is best on Polytrack and was behind the maiden Woodcock at Windsor last time but there possibilities about course winner Invincible Soldier, who was second over a mile at Leicester last month. Rania steps up in trip, however, as does last week’s penalised Brighton winner Incorrigible. Girl From Ipanema may be the pick of the remainder as she was still showing signs of inexperience on her handicap debut at Doncaster but was keeping on and the return to a mile will suit.
