JANEIRO is recommended ahead of Frozen Power and Nina Rose. Tom Dascombe's charge proved that he is capable on turf as well as artificial surfaces at Yarmouth and while this is a tougher assignment this afternoon, he looks up to the task. Frozen Power won despite the rider dropping his whip at Epsom. The second has come out since, though did not run much of a race in truth. Nina Rose has already suggested that a step up in trip won't go amiss. Her trainer has his horses in tip-top form at the moment. Avon River was struck with a rival's whip last time so there were some excuses. That said, the handicapper has taken few chances. Thomas Baines looks quirky. Mnarani has been easy to back in recent races though his chance would be assisted by any overnight rain. Janeiro seems best equipped to meet this challenge.
