This won't take much winning and John Gosden looks to have found the ideal opening for Pilgrim Spirit. A half-sister to Italian Oaks runner-up Rosa Di Brema, she will be well suited by this step up in trip and can enhance her paddock value here. Snow's Ride should also appreciate this step up in trip, as he is a half-brother to Lancashire Oaks winner Ela Athena, although he is beginning to look exposed. Melusina has looked slow over a variety of trips and looks to have plenty to prove, as does Top Tenor, who has shown next to nothing in his four efforts to date. However, it is possible this trip may see him in a better light, but Pilgrim Spirit looks the safer option and appears the one to beat.
