Verdict

Apollo D'Negro is chasing a hat trick after winning both starts this year and may not have finished yet, while Kempton maiden winner Echo Ridge could figure on her reappearance and handicap debut. Hoover is dropping down a grade for his turf debut and Native Picture beat a subsequent winner at Brighton last month and could go close. Sluggsy Morant is yet another to consider in an open contest, but a chance is taken on VICONA, who scored at Bath a fortnight ago despite running green and looks capable of further progress.
