    Verdict

Trueshan finished ahead of Floating Artist when fourth in Listed company earlier but wasn’t at his best in the Ebor at York last time when behind sixth-placed Ranch Hand. The latter’s stablemate Cleonte returns to action though needs further as when second to Stradivarius in last year’s Doncaster Cup but Withhold won a Listed contest over today’s trip at Newmarket last month and can go close back at this level. ROCK EAGLE (NAP) was returning from over a year off the track when runner-up over 1m4f at Newmarket in June. He remains lightly-raced having missed most of last year and with this extra distance likely to suit, Ralph Beckett’s charge may well improve enough to come out best.
