In depth

Verdict

With an official rating of 85, Palifico should be up to winning a Limerick maiden though Shane Foley reported that she didn't handle soft ground in a Grade 2 at the Curragh last time and more rain is forecast. Colfer Kay and Mirage More look best of her rivals with experience though THINKING OF YOU may be good enough to make a successful debut. A daughter of American Pharoah out of a mare from the family of Giant's Causeway, Joseph O'Brien's Coolmore-owned filly has the pedigree to make her mark here. Aidan O'Brien's Elizabethan is first reserve but would have to be a major player if getting a run after a promising debut at the Curragh in July.
