Three-year-olds have a better recent record in this than older fillies but the market is not always the best guide as the last two winners have started at 20/1 and 33/1. Sagaciously was a ready winner of a decent handicap at Goodwood but has been found wanting when upped to this grade in the past. SHARJA QUEEN was well beaten in the 1000 Guineas in May but left that run behind next time at Chester and was very impressive over this course and distance last month. This is probably her level, though the well-bred Very Dashing has plenty of potential after making a winning reappearance in a Nottingham maiden. Beauly is preferred to Maybelater and Chain Of Daisies of the others.
Chain Of Daisies 14-1 (9-9) Led, ridden and headed inside final 2f, kept on same pace, no impression with front pair when lost place inside final furlong, 5th of 11, 4 1/4l behind Nezwaah (8-7) at Newcastle 1m 2f lst fll stks (1) pol in Jun.

Sharja Queen 11-4jfav (9-3) Tracked front pair, smooth headway to lead 2f out, shaken up and quickened clear over 1f out, driven out, eased towards finish, impressive, won at Salisbury 1m 2f hcp fll (3) gf in Jul beating Visage Blanc (8-4) by 6l, 7 ran.
