Penrith looks the one to beat in this four-runner affair, with Camrose seen as his biggest danger. The Mark Johnston-trained colt has to concede weight to his opponents but he might just be up to the task as he showed very good qualities, despite looking immature, when battling to victory in a competitive handicap at Pontefract last time. He should have improved enormously for that effort and looks set for a bold show again. Camrose was decent as a juvenile, winning at Epsom, and the form of his fourth behind Hazyview, Red Lancer and Cutting Crew at Sandown in April - when conceding them all weight - has since been solidly franked. Although he was slightly disappointing on his last run, the step up to 10 furlongs should suit him now, although he would probably not want the going to be too lively. He looks the stronger of the two John Dunlop entries while Geller has a bit to prove after a disappointing Chepstow return this season. Once again, then, the selection is Penrith.
