In depth

Verdict

A tricky finale in which all six look to have decent claims. Alhaazm has been knocking on the door and is now tried in a visor so may be the pick of the three-year-olds ahead of the equally-consistent Starfighter and the less-exposed Light Up Our Stars. YOU’RE HIRED has finished second the last twice under 5lb claimer Scott McCullagh and his turn may have come around again. He was ridden more aggressively than Rotherwick at Goodwood last time so can confirm that form on only a pound worse terms. Blistering Bob was a surprise winner over track and trip on his reappearance over track and trip and is taking on better opposition today.

Light Up Our Stars (IRE) 16-1 (9-7) Slowly into stride, soon chasing leading pair on inside, ridden and went 2nd over 1f out, kept on same pace, lost 2nd near finish, 3rd of 9, 1l behind Marronnier (9-4) at Sandown 1m 2f hcp (4) gf in Jul.
