Yair Hill didn't have to be at his best to get off the mark in an ordinary maiden at Folkestone but that should have boosted the colt's confidence after a couple of near misses last year. His low draw isn't ideal here, however, while Conducting will start widest of all and is tried in blinkers after finishing fourth in a Listed race at Lingfield in March. Avonmore Star is one for the short-list, however, racing off the same mark as when runner-up to Acclamazing at Newmarket where he finished ahead of Chilworth Lad. Cruiser ran well behind Sir Reginald at HQ and can't be ignored but NORSE BLUES shaped nicely on his comeback run at Newbury and can return to winning ways here. He has the beating of None Shall Sleep on that run.
