SWEET MY LORD hasn't been in the best of form since scoring over fences in April but he's suited by the race conditions here and should get a confidence-booster. The once high-class Karabak has shown nothing for a very long time while Maller Tree has to race with a penalty for his victory at Naas last October and has been running poorly over fences. Time To Work had looked quite promising before a very moderate effort at Sligo but has it all to do while Compton Court looks outclassed.
Maller Tree 8-1 (11-12) A bit slow 2nd and niggled along, 7th before 7th, no extra approaching 3 out, tailed off, 9th of 13, well behind Playtime Ben (11-7) at Wexford 3m 1f beg chase gf in Jul.
Time To Work (IRE) 7-1 (11-3) Tracked leaders on inner, 5th 3 out, soon ridden and weakened quickly, last of 14, 30l behind Top Madam (11-3) at Sligo 2m 4f hcp hdl gd.
Compton Court 25-1 (11-12) Mid-division, dropped to last and reminders before 8th, pulled up before 5 out, in a race won by Our Girl Lucy (11-5) at Tramore 2m 6f beg chs sft in Oct, 15 ran.
Karabak (FR) 25-1 (11-12) Towards rear, niggled along from 7 out, moderate 10th approaching 6 out, soon no extra, completely tailed off, 9th of 14, well behind Datokepe (11-9) at Kilbeggan 2m 4f beg chs sft in May.
Sweet My Lord (FR) 20-1 (10-10) Chased leaders until slipped up before 3 out, in a race won by Call Me Bubbles (10-2) at Galway 2m 6f hcp hdl sft, 20 ran.
