In depth

Verdict

Gordon Elliott reaches for the blinkers in order to get a first hurdling victory out of ULTIMATE HORSEMAN, who has now finished runner-up five times in succession. He probably isn't the bravest of battlers but has come up against better opposition than he'll face here and can add to his lone success in a Downpatrick bumper. Bay Of Freedom also has a bumper victory to his credit but so far has disappointed over hurdles and was beaten a long way at Galway last time. The mare Kentucky Lass will be receiving plenty of weight and showed a bit more sparkle at Ballinrobe last time though that was over 2m4f. Paddy's Yarn may do best of the remainder.
