It's too early to write off Spirit of Concorde but it has to be admitted that he has failed to confirm the distinct promise of his first two starts for the Weld team. The application of first-time blinkers is an interesting move. Prima Vista, a three-time winner over timber for Noel Meade, seemed to lose his way somewhat when sent chasing but didn't do at all badly first time up on the level when second to Marchese Marconi at Limerick on heavy ground. Things may happen a little too quickly for him here though while Manalisa, a daughter of Manduro, needs a market check on her belated racecourse debut. BELLE DE CRECY has shown plenty of potential on both starts this term over a mile on quick ground and looks progressive. The step up to a 1m2f appears ideal and she looks another one for the Murtagh team.
