Bithynia started favourite for a Beverley maiden but was soon beaten after leading approaching the final furlong. Peach Pavlova ran a similar race at Thirsk though that was over 6f and she had only been beaten a nose over this trip at Pontefract earlier. Big Lachie has been running quite well without really looking like winning while Sheepscar Lad is tried in a visor after a moderate run at Thirsk last week. Mama Africa has been thereabouts in all of her races but, in a very tricky contest, it's MISS ROSINA who gets the nod as she ran into a progressive type at Thirsk last time where she led for much of the way.
