      Verdict

      CLEARANCE joined Iain Jardine after landing a selling hurdle at the start of the month and made a winning start for his new yard when scoring on the Flat at Ayr. Another bold bid is expected in this company despite a 5lb rise. Uptown Funk is fit from hurdling and returns to the level on a decent mark while Buyer Beware has a chance on an earlier third over 2m at York. The latter is preferred to both Reassurance and Rockliffe if back to his best but Simul Amicis has plenty to prove stepping up from a mile on her handicap debut.
