DOC HAY won a decent sprint over track and trip in September. He beat Seeking Magic, Love Island, El Viento and Fast Shot on that occasion and should go very close again after a pipe-opener at Nottingham. Fast Shot scored at Pontefract recently and has claims while stablemate Body And Soul won in this grade at York last summer. Ancient Cross landed the Ayr Silver Cup off a similar mark in September but Barkston Ash is upped in class after scoring here last week. Doncaster winner Hillbilly Boy is another stepping up a couple of grades while Captain Ramius would prefer some cut. The latter's stablemate Hopes N Dreams and Cosmic Chatter are others capable of getting involved if at their best.
