Apache Nation, Efidium and Top Dirham catch the eye here, with Efidium taken to score at a nice price. A Redcar winner on an easy surface earlier in the season, Efidium ran a blinder at York last time in heavy ground, staying on strongly to be a close second. Only a pound higher here, this consistent type looks sure to run his race and see off his opposition. Apache Nation has a similar profile, in that he won well over this course and distance earlier in the campaign, and has shaped well since, notably when just held at Haydock on Sunday. He must go close but is narrowly passed over. Top Dirham won well in soft ground at Thirsk, and was right behind Apache Nation at Haydock. He can handle cut, but is better on a faster surface and is taken on here. Efidium may just outbattle his rivals.
