Mick Channon has sent out the winner of this twice in the past four seasons, but both had already had at least one run, so debutante Inthawain looks worth taking on here with Salsa Star, who should be too good. Richard Fahey's runner went close in a Pontefract maiden before an impressive effort to be beaten just under five lengths in Royal Ascot's Group 3 Albany Stakes last time. A fast surface suits and that run sets the standard for them all to beat. Peter's Gift has had a couple of starts and may have found her second run coming too soon after a promising debut, so she may improve this time. Minotaurious improved from one run to the next and again has frame claims with yet more to come on this sound surface. Ishe Mac is another who might be good enough to step up and take home some prize money here with the ground again to suit, but they are all likely to be chasing home the confident pick here, Salsa Star.
