Verdict
David O’Meara has a fine recent record in this sprint and runs three with SUMMERGHAND preferred to both Short Work and Ma Fee Heela. The former made a winning return at Chelmsford a fortnight ago and another bold bid is expected, despite a 3lb rise, given he’s won in soft going before. It’s been some time since Right Touch last won but he finished behind runner-up Roaring Forties over 7f at Doncaster last month while Russian Realm also has a chance having placed in both starts at Newcastle this year. Quick Look will relish today’s ground and is not out of this with an apprentice’s claim in his favour and the lightly-raced Kupa River is another to consider on last year’s best form in Ireland as he debuts for new connections.
