        Verdict

        A hot contest which has attracted a couple of strong challengers from Newmarket. ALKAAMEL was beaten a neck by Hesslewood at Newcastle but is slightly better off at the weights and better drawn here so can reverse those placings. Ideological looks a danger, however, as her stable has also hit the ground running and she may be capable of even better switching to Turf. Metatron was well backed on his return to action and makes his handicap debut while Divinity won twice over this trip last August and wasn’t disgraced in decent company later. Mustadun remains unexposed and also warrants a mention.
