In depth

Verdict

Definitely not a race to wade in heavily with the hard earned, with future pointers perhaps what we can be most confident about. However, the suggestion here is Diamond Circle, with Mambo's Melody and Bolero Again both having a squeak. The selection put in a green enough Yarmouth debut last season, but is well related as far as this contest is concerned, and bred to really come into her own at three. This trip and ground should be ideal and she will lose nothing from the plate, so we will take a chance on her. It's a similar story with Mambo's Melody, who should also shape up with much more promise now, while the benefit of a recent respectable effort will mean that Bolero Again will have plenty of supporters. Shades Of Beige and Inshaad are interesting newcomers, but Diamond Circle is our idea of a small stakes play here.
