        Verdict

        GLOBAL EXCEL (NAP) had been threatening to win for some time before making all at Newbury and a 3lb rise doesn't look enough to prevent a double with his rider's claim a bonus. Daffy Jane won a minor handicap at Thirsk but didn't run up to that form at this level at Leicester. Glaceon looked quite promising for Richard Hannon last summer and has dropped to a fair mark after two runs for new connections. Loulin looked a certain future winner when runner-up to the prolific Eeh Bah Gum at Redcar but hasn't gone on as expected while Magic Mark found 7f beyond him on the latter track last time.
