        Verdict

        Darkening will almost certainly improve on her debut fourth at Newmarket but that wasn't the strongest maiden run at HQ this summer and MOVIESTA is just as interesting. Bryan Smart's colt had clearly been showing plenty before his Pontefract debut as he was sent off favourite. Inexperience cost him in the end but he'll be much more the finished article now. Melody Of Love showed up well here last month while Elusive Thought has a solid pedigree and could easily run into a place.
