        Verdict

        Stormin Tom has won four times around here but has been in poor form in his recent races and ALWAYS RESOLUTE looks the one to beat. Ian Williams' charge scored twice over hurdles during the winter and ran well enough in a much better handicap on his return to the Flat at Chester. Angel Gabrial hasn't won since landing the 2014 Northumberland Plate from 39lb higher. He'll probably snatch a place again while Indian Vision completed a double over 1m6f on fast ground at Redcar around this time a year ago and should still have a bit more scope. Buyer Beware won off this mark at Catterick in July though that was over 1m4f.
