        Verdict

        Pipers Note has won no less than eight times around here including a double last summer. He can still do it at this level as he showed when beaten a neck in a Class 2 at Pontefract in April. SIR MAXIMILIAN didn't win last year and had dropped to a lowly mark when reappearing with a shock victory in a Class 2 at Doncaster a month ago. He's up 3lb but has won from higher marks and can go in again. Bossipop won over the course and distance in April though that was a Class 4 and he was beaten when tackling this level at Redcar later. His stable also run Hyperfocus, who was having only his second start for new connections when just failing to catch Muscika at Thirsk. Growl is on a long losing run but has dropped in the weights accordingly and would be an obvious threat on his close third in last season's Stewards' Cup.
