ROSINA (NAP) ran a fine race on her handicap debut at York considering she blew the start. She'd made a winning debut on the Knavesmire earlier and should outclass this bunch, despite top weight. Friday's easy Musselburgh winner Zoraida may be the one for forecast-backers though, like Beverley winner Bond Bombshell, is thoroughly exposed. Modest and Zeeda have some improving to do if they are to figure.
Rosina 4-1fav (8-9) Slowly into stride, soon switched left, in rear, ran on from over 1f out, nearest finish, 3rd of 9, 3/4l behind Bint Aldar (8-7) at York 5f (3) gf in Jul.
Bond Bombshell 6-1fav (9-0) Pressed leader, pushed along halfway, ridden over 1f out, driven to lead inside final furlong, soon edged left, stayed on, won at Beverley 5f mdn fll stks (5) gf in Jul beating White Bullet (9-0) by 1l, 7 ran.
Modest 16-1 (8-10) Mid-division stands side, headway over 2f out, ridden over 1f out, stayed on same pace inside final furlong, 5th of 15, 4 1/2l behind Pop Culture (8-6) at Newbury 6f mdn fll stks (5) gf in Jul.
