Eminence Gift gets the tentative vote in this moderate contest to open the card with Zarova and Pips Pearl rated as the main dangers. The selection is stepping up in trip here but she has given the impression that she will be suited by further, and she has certainly shown enough recently to suggest that she should be capable of getting competitive here. Zarova ran his best race yet when third behind Triple Zero at Carlisle last time. He hails from a shrewd yard and if he sees out this slightly longer trip then he will be a live danger to our selection. Pips Pearl was a fair third behind Ruling Reef at Bath last time but she will not necessarily be suited by this step-up in trip and as her form so far is only moderate we are happy to take her on. San Michele is lightly-raced and from a leading yard so she is certainly worth noting in the market in this grade, but for the winner we will stick with Karl Burke's filly Eminence Gift.
