Ed Bethell is enjoying a splendid season with a superb strike-rate although INDIANA BE (NAP) has probably been a slight source of frustration to the North Yorkshire handler, though this looks a gilt-edged opportunity for the consistent son of Sioux Nation. Gold Guy has yet to repeat the level of his promising Newcastle debut but Sidney's Son has produced improvement on two all-weather starts, though was entered yesterday at Beverley. It's hard to make a case for the remaining trio.
Gold Guy (IRE) 10-3 (9-7) Led, ridden and headed 2f out, weakened final furlong, 5th of 7, 9 3/4l behind American Affair (9-7) at Wetherby 7f stks (5) gd in May.
Indiana Be 5-6fav (9-7) Took keen hold, prominent, shaken up over 2f out, ridden and kept on same pace from over 1f out, 3rd of 9, 2 1/4l behind Kentucky Bluegrass (9-7) at Redcar 7f stks (5) gs in May.
Mass Consumption (IRE) 28-1 (9-4) Went left start, off the pace in 6th, never on terms, 6th of 9, 11 3/4l behind Oh So Charming (9-2) at Redcar 1m stks (4) gs in Oct.
Ribble Rouser (IRE) 12-1 (9-7) Edged left start, mid-division, not much room and lost place over 2f out, well beaten over 1f out, last of 9, 14 3/4l behind Lord Sam's Castle (9-7) at Newcastle 7f mdn stks (5) pol in Sep.
Rajawail 250-1 (9-0) Always towards, never involved, last of 7, 13 3/4l behind American Affair (9-7) at Wetherby 7f stks (5) gd in May.
