Verdict

Milton Bradley looks to have found a good opportunity for Snow Wolf to break his duck here, with Flying Bantam the danger and Otago interesting. Snow Wolf will be much better suited by this step back up to 6f than he was when well beaten over the minimum on fast ground at Kempton on his recent seasonal reappearance. The form of his Nottingham second to Foursquare last October reads well enough in the context of this race, and with not a lot to beat we think he is up to the task. Flying Bantam can give him most to do. Richard Fahey's runners are always respected here and the gelding put up a good reappearance when second to Snap at Thirsk a couple of weeks ago. He will not be found wanting for fitness and can go very well. Of the remainder, unraced Otago looks of some interest. John Best's charge is bred to get further than this, but the ground should suit if breeding is anything to go by and a good showing could be on the cards. For the selection though, we will stick with Snow Wolf to come good.
