Verdict

Another Class 6 handicap in which ROCKET ROD has a strong claim if replicating his impressive effort at Newcastle recently - his first success in 16 starts. An improver over the winter, his chance is dependent upon whether or not he can prove as effective returned to Turf. He's taken to do so. Esticky End began the season with a battling Beverley success and there was clearly something amiss when he was totally tailed off when last seen. He needs to be forgiven, so rates the main danger with trip and ground to suit. Fanzone has looked in the grip of the handicapper the last twice but commands respect on his Musselburgh victory three starts back.
