Something appears to have gone awry with Almunther since he won a maiden handicap at Pontefract in July. King of Naples has an even bigger question mark hanging over him at present but Keith Dalgleish’s filly Kirbec could be interesting receiving weight all round and Acadian Angel drops into this grade for the first time, though she has never raced over a trip this far. VINCENT’S FOREVER is also eased in class and Ed de Giles has a good strike-rate with the few runners he sends here. His five-year-old hasn’t won in more than two years but is probably the one to beat at the weights with neither trip nor ground a problem.
