This looks a tricky race to call but AUSSIE BLUE has more ticks in his boxes compared to the majority of his rivals and is taken to win at the expense of Northern Flyer and Many Welcomes. The selection is no prolific winner but he did run well after finishing third at this venue last time out. He has been slowly but surely dropping in the weights in recent months and if anywhere near his best he ought to go close. Northern Flyer is another that struggles to win races and for that reason the handicapper has taken action to relieve him of a few pounds. He runs off the same mark as he did when gaining his solitary win at Musselburgh last year so any market moves should be noted. Many Welcomes caught the eye at Chester last time out after finishing second and looks to be running off a favourable mark. She is tough and consistent and can give her supporters another good run for their money. Aussie Blue has conditions in his favour and is given the tentative vote.
