Recent winner BALLENTENI is taken to follow up at the expense of Fujin Dancer and Ra Junior in this claimer. The selection had been winless in over two years prompting his owners to drop him in grade. That decision worked well as he scooted home to win a similar event over course and distance last time out. Connections have once again put him in with a realistic claiming price meaning he looks well in at the weights. With luck in running he will not be far away come the business end of the race. Fujin Dancer had been in blinding form during the spring and early part of the summer months but has gone of the boil in recent weeks. Connections have dropped him in grade for the first time and if at his best he is sure to give his supporters a good run for their money. Ra Junior has not won since breaking his maiden tag at Newmarket eighteen months ago. He has really struggled to get ahead of the handicapper ever since and has been well held in handicaps of late. That said this drop in grade will benefit and coming form a yard that do well in this sphere he deserves plenty of respect. Ballenteni looks nicely treated and can come good again.
