        Verdict

        After a fine effort at Ffos Las in August, Dream Cast was made odds-on for a Chepstow maiden a couple of weeks later but was well beaten though he did receive a bump at the start. Kevin Ryan tries Nordikhab in blinkers for the first time but he's another to have disappointed when well supported. SHADY MCCOY doesn't look an obvious candidate on his one run so far at Newbury but he showed good early pace over that 7f before fading and, being a close relative of numerous winners in the USA, he's the type to do better and earns the verdict. Gold Beau ran his best race for a long time when attempting to make all over 7f at Kempton and may prove best of the remainder.
