Verdict

Not the easiest of races for three-year-olds over this trip at the time of year. Danehill Flyer steps up from 1m3f and looked as though further would suit when tried over that trip at Southwell and the form has worked out well. Moaning Butcher will have no problems with the trip having finished runner-up at Nottingham though he could have done without a 2lb rise in the weights. For some inexplicable reason Noble Bacchus started favourite on his return to action at Kempton and finished well beaten though someone must have faith in him while Tim Easterby has won this a couple of times in recent years and Tobacco looks the best of his pair despite a long absence. HANDIWORK was twice narrowly beaten over 1m4f on Polytrack before tackling Turf for the first time at Doncaster where his amateur rider managed to get him impeded in a five-runner-race. He finished strongly once in the clear and can make amends.
