        Verdict

        A very good two-year-old race to start the day, and Sir Loin is fancied to go one better than his very encouraging debut, with A Little Bit Yarie, Mirasol Princess and Baylaw Star all worthy opponents. Nigel Tinkler's colt was a 33/1 outsider on his debut at Newcastle earlier this month, but belied those odds to run second to Hillside Girl, with A Little Bit Yarie three lengths away in third. The latter improved to win a Hamilton maiden in convincing fashion on his second start, and was possibly undone by the draw at Gosforth Park, but is eight pounds worse off here and Sir Loin is fancied to confirm the form, with George Duffield taking over the reins from Kim Tinkler. Mirasol Princess made a winning debut at Musselburgh, and was a length ahead of Hillside Girl when second to Attraction at Thirsk next time. A line through that horse suggests Kevin Ryan's filly has a little to find with the selection, but she should certainly be thereabouts. Baylaw Star confirmed the promise he showed on his debut when winning at Hamilton recently and is another to come into the reckoning in this competitive race.
