A poor-class handicap to finish proceedings and just one favourite has won in ten years. Midnight Warrior won a similar grade event at Catterick in September and is only 3lb higher while Crakehall Lad is the only course and distance winner in the line-up though that was on soft ground. Bowdler's Magic hasn't won since 2012 and is another who could do with some rain so this can go to the veteran BEAT THE SHOWER, who was narrowly beaten in a slightly better handicap over the track and trip last summer and is just 1lb higher. Rainford Glory has been consistent on the all-weather but hasn't proved he stays this far.
