Chancery scored on ground with some give at Ripon but couldn't handle the 6lb rise and better class opposition at York. He looks better than stablemate Hit The Jackpot and though Big Thunder has won at this trip he appears to need further these days. Master Of Finance ran a superb race at York behind Mahsoob, when Silvery Moon was behind, though he's never shown his best form on fast ground which he's likely to get here. His stablemate Fire Fighting is well up to this class at his best though probably over further. After scoring over this trip at Beverley, Libran stepped up a couple of furlongs to complete a double at York though a 9lb rise in this better grade makes things more difficult. YEAGER (NAP) looked a very smart prospect when completing a double in 2013 but shot up the weights accordingly and never fulfilled that promise. He has gradually come down in the ratings and with a run behind him last weekend can get back to winning ways.
