Many of the fancied horses in this are drawn low so Boudica Bay and Hot Scoop could find themselves isolated. John Kirkup is on a decent mark at present but was behind Hot Scoop at Catterick, though ahead of Birkenhead. The latter’s yard also run the returning Thrilla In Manila but Sugar Baby makes more appeal despite defeat at Beverley when on a hat-trick. P J McDonald takes over the reins from an apprentice on SO SMART and David Evans’ gelding can finally open his account at the 16th time of asking. Dream Deal was behind a couple of these at Catterick last month but is better off at the weights here.
