Art Elegant starts the turf campaign on a fair mark and is a sporting choice in a wide open contest where the likes of: My Obsession; Digital and Tiber Tiger are also respected. The last named won over course and distance off a 4lb higher rating last year and would have to be given a chance if he turns up in the same frame of mind today. He should appreciate the conditions and can go well for each-way players. Digital has proved that he still has plenty of heart for the game and will give his faithful supporters a good run for their money. However, the reserves must be dwindling close to the limit on a horse that has only won twice in the last three years; so a cautious approach is advised where he is concerned. My Obsession is very lightly raced and looks to be going the right way. The son of Spectrum could be anything; so is well worth considering for a saver option. However, Art Elegant has been in cracking form on the all weather lately and should not be underestimated for a race like this. He handled firm ground as a three-year-old, so should not be troubled by the going. He also strikes as one that is getting stronger as he gets older and, from a mark of just 64, he can be a leading player in this company.
