Clove has plenty in her favour here and is given the confident nomination, with Bond Babe and Connotation put forward as the main dangers. The selection overcame a tough draw to win last time at Windsor when defeating Middle Earth, and as there is sure to be more to come from this progressive filly then she should take plenty of beating. She is also well drawn and has conditions to suit. Bond Babe rates the main danger as she was beaten only by the draw at Ripon last time behind Oceanico Dot Com. She has got plenty of speed and a fair draw here so should go well. Connotation has failed to see out the trip on her last two starts but she is dropped back to 5 furlongs here and the booking of Frankie Dettori catches the eye, so she is certainly worth noting in the market. Of the remainder, Lord John is from a shrewd yard and may have place prospects after running well when second behind Melandre last time at Catterick, but for the winner we return to Clove.
