In depth

Verdict

Disguise has shown promise in his two outings to date and can land this modest event from Bahamian Magic and Chinalea. This Barry Hills trained son of Pursuit Of Love made his debut in a hot maiden at Windsor won by Galeota, who boosted the form with a listed success on Saturday. He was all the rage at Newmarket next time but just failed to catch the enterprisingly ridden Lubeck. This represents a step down in class for the selection and he should be capable of landing first prize. Lubeck's trainer David Loder runs Bahamian Magic and he should be the main threat following two very good efforts at York and Lingfield. Il Pranzo has also shown bits and pieces of form and could be vying for a place. Meanwhile the best of the newcomers may be the Clive Cox trained Chinalea, who is a well bred son of Danetime. The market will provide plenty of clues, but without that information Disguise is the one that gets the vote.
