Another field large in numbers but on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning and Tayif looks the one to be on. The gelding from the dandy Nicholls yard was a good third in a similar contest behind Carlton last time and a reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat. The Gambler was a good second behind Pay D'Amour last time and he should not be far away. However Dandy Nicholls trains Pay D'Amour so he should no where he stands. Skylark is taking a drop in grade and with conditions in his favour he is worth a cautionary look in the market. Chairman Bobby is game and consistent in this grade and goes on any ground but again he may find one or two to good. Of the remainder Brecongill Lad is from a yard in form and is worth a cautionary look in the market.
