It was testing ground at Doncaster when MONTE CINQ was placed in the Brocklesby. Jason Ward's colt looks to have little to fear from either Cullingworth or Merry Banter as the latter pair were both well beaten in the same race at Wolverhampton last month but the newcomer Mulwith looks a bigger danger representing David Barron's in-form yard. He's preferred to fellow debutant and early January foal Another Angel and should be noted in the betting.
