In depth

Verdict

Highlight Reel was the 50/1 winner of a 6f apprentice handicap here eight days ago and is unpenalised with Owen Payton taking off 7lb again. My Boy Lewis seems to like it here and Pretty Pickle placed at Yarmouth in June, but has gone backwards since. Real Smooth has yet to match last year’s form but has a chance in a race like this, along with Jewel Maker, but CONVERTIBLE is surely worth chancing on his Turf and handicap debut given he’s shown some promise in a couple of all-weather starts and he’s out of a mare that has produced winners with all of her other offspring.
