    Verdict

Richard Fahey has won this twice in the past four years and has two entries here. Gleneve is a half-brother to seven winners, though mostly staying types. I'm Ready has more of a speed pedigree and this looks her trip. Wotabreeze took some time to get going on his debut over a mile here but stayed on well and he'll enjoy the conditions while Just Fab has shown ability on the all-weather and Southern Seas made a bright start over the track and trip. William Haggas has had a stellar season so the 140,000gns yearling Eljeemi has to be considered but the vote in a very tricky opener goes to ROUNDSMAN, a 220,000gns son of Pivotal whose dam has produced winners with her first two offspring to run.
