Verdict
Kildorrery was engaged in the 1.50 here yesterday so the result should be monitored. Pont Aven is inconsistent but ran a blinder in a Grade A handicap at the Festival here last month so a similar effort would see him difficult to beat. Nicky Henderson has been a rare visitor to Ireland recently so the presence of DAME DE COMPAGNIE is intriguing. Last year's Coral Cup winner has only had two starts over fences, beating a sole rival at Ayr then being badly impeded and unseating her rider in a Grade 1 at Sandown. Confidence must be high for her to be coming here and she's handed the vote though there are numerous dangers including Us And Them, who is 1-19 over fences but has run in all the top handicaps. Somptueux is an improving chaser probably on a very fair mark but Optical Confusion didn't get far on his hat-trick attempt at Ballinrobe during the week.
